Refund & Returns Policy

Operated by Ichicoo Limited trading as Wardrobe Doors Direct (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1. Overview

We want you to be happy with your purchase. However, as many of our products are made-to-order and custom manufactured, different return rules apply compared to standard retail goods.

2. Made-to-Order Products

Most of our products are manufactured specifically to your specifications.

Important:

  • Once production has started, orders cannot be cancelled or amended
  • Made-to-order products are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless they are:
    • Faulty
    • Damaged in transit
    • Incorrect due to our error

This is in line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, which exclude bespoke goods from standard cancellation rights once production begins.

3. Standard (Non-Custom) Products

Where applicable, for non-custom items:

You may return goods within 14 days of delivery if:

  • Items are unused
  • Items are in original packaging
  • Items are in resalable condition

4. How to Request a Return

To start a return, contact us at: info@wardrobedoorsdirect.co.uk

Please include:

  • Order number
  • Reason for return
  • Photos (if damaged or faulty)

We will provide instructions for return approval.

5. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged or faulty:

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

We may request:

  • Photographs of the damage
  • Description of the issue

Depending on the issue, we will offer:

  • Replacement parts
  • Replacement product
  • Repair solution
  • Refund (where appropriate)

6. Refunds

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
  • Processing time is typically 5–10 working days after approval
  • Delivery costs may not be refunded unless the item is faulty or incorrect

7. Returns Shipping Costs

  • If the return is due to our error or a faulty item: we will cover return costs
  • For other eligible returns: you are responsible for return shipping costs

8. Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled if:

  • Production has not started
  • The item is not custom-made

Once manufacturing begins, cancellation is no longer possible.

9. Exchanges

We may offer exchanges where:

  • The product is faulty
  • The product was supplied incorrectly
  • A replacement is agreed as the most appropriate solution

10. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law.

You are still entitled to remedies where goods are:

  • Not as described
  • Not fit for purpose
  • Not of satisfactory quality

11. Inspection on Delivery

We strongly recommend checking all items upon delivery.

Any issues should be reported immediately (within 48 hours where possible) to avoid delays in resolving claims.
