DIY SLIDING WARDROBE INTERIORS

Our DIY wardrobe interiors are different from most of our competitors. We offer an interior wardrobe fitting storage system that allows you to make the perfect use of all of your sliding wardrobe interior space.

Below is a guide to how our storage system works and how to DIY install our wardrobe interior fittings.

Design and configure your wardrobe interior

Our wardrobe interiors configurator makes it easy for you to design your perfect wardrobe interior space. We have shown a number of wardrobe internal designs in configurations that correspond with the number of doors of your selected sliding wardrobe. You can simply choose one of our hand picked pre configured designs that will optimise your internal wardrobe storage space according to use and your available budget.

Click add to cart to order your chosen wardrobe interior fittings.

Want to design your own internal configuration? All the internal fittings, including shelves, draws, hanging rails and supports are listed on our extra items page. Simply order the fittings you need to create your own wardrobe interior storage design.

Please note that our interior fittings are sold in standard sizes. It is a simple DIY task to cut them down to fit your own interior space. The majority of the interior components are not typical flat pack form, i.e. we do not pre-drill holes and they come over sized (e.g. an internal shelf is 500 x 2620 x 18mm) to provide you with complete flexibility of design. The only items that are sold in flat pack form (i.e. with pre-drilled holes and screws) are the shelf stacks and the drawers.

The interior components do not have a carcass. This is because each fitting is intended for direct fixing to the internal walls or the interior of the wardrobe, using fixing blocks or timber battening. If you wish to create a carcass that matches the wood effect panels of your doors you can buy additional end panels and cut them down to size. Please call for more information if you are unsure.

DIY wardrobe interior installation

To install your interior fittings you will require corner blocks or timber battening depending on your fixing method. We do not supply these, however we can supply to order additional strike plates to cut and use as battening.

If you require more information about installing our interiors please refer to our online installation guide.

If you purchase wardrobe doors from us you will also receive a comprehensive 12-page guide to installing the wardrobe doors. This includes a section on creating interior fittings such as shelves and hanging rails.

Please note: Our wardrobe interior packs do not come with screws, corner blocks or timber battening.

Alternative DIY interior fittings

Some of our customers have used IKEA® wardrobe interiors in conjunction with our made-to-measure sliding wardrobe doors. If you are intending to use IKEA® wardrobe interiors please speak to us first about your ideas for the configuration to ensure items (such as drawers) are positioned correctly so as not to foul the sliding wardrobe doors.
